Peace Day

Hello everyone! When working on the Peace Day I love creating calligrams. What are calligrams? They are poems written in a way that they make a shape, normally related to the topic of the poem. Some people, instead of poems, use sentences or just words to create a picture. Here you have some calligrams related to peace. Do you like them?

It is a very important day in all schools, and not only for all the activities that we organise but for the values that we highlight. In our school we have been working on Nobel Prize winners, but most significantly, Martin Luther King Jr. and his fight for the Civil Rights Movement in America for black people. Here you have the link to the video and some pictures of the students in Year 6B. We also sang some songs in Spanish and French. I leave you this song in English by Bob Sinclair and Steve Edwards called 'Peace Song'. I hope you like it!
